PowerPoint Presentation Tips - Making a Picture Full Screen Aspect Ratio
This is one great PowerPoint Tip you will find useful in your next PowerPoint Presentation. Suppose you have a picture that does not fit your full screen aspect ratio and leaves gaps on one or two sides. You will have to align the picture to any one corner and enlarge it to ensure that the picture fills up the screen without any gap and then you will have to center the picture yourself using your mouse or using the Format Align Center and Middle options.
Microsoft PowerPoint uses a default aspect of ratio of 16:9 in all the slides. To fill the screen fully without gap, first you have to select the picture by clicking the picture. Then click on the Format Tab on the PowerPoint Ribbon Menu. In the drop down ribbon menu, look for the icon which says Crop and click on the small arrow below the word Crop. This opens a drop down menu in which you have to look for . Then select Aspect Ratio from it.
This opens a bunch of aspect ratios in another drop down menu. From this selct 16:9 by clicking with your mouse on it. The moment you do this a rectangle will appear on the center of your picture with handles which you can drag if you want to. Once the crop rectangle appears, just press enter button on the key board and the picture is cropped to an aspect ratio of 16:9. Now drag the picture to any one corner and drag the opposite corner to fill the PowerPoint Slide to get a full screen poster.
